It will be a slow recovery.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for healing for his Uncle Reid who fell out of a deer stand.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sara Blakeney: Pray for Stephanie &amp;amp; Casey Alums, adopting little boy from Guatemala. Pray all finalizes soon.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for neighbors, Barry &amp;amp; Rebecca, adopting a 12 year old Ukrainian orphan boy. Adoption problems arising w/ Ukraine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Casey Blythe: Please pray for physcal strength and healing for his cousin, Chase, as he battles eye cancer a second time, and&lt;br /&gt;emotional strength for the family! May they feel and know God’s presence each and every day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lincoln Clark: Pray for his student whose father lost his job over Spring Break and has now been diagnosed with brain cancer. Lincoln’s student is struggling with all this stress and worry.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for school team member, Sally, whose 4-year old daughter, Olivia, was molested by her ex-husband.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nicole Collier: Pray for help and solutions for friends having marriage difficulties.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Jana Womack, BP issues, had C-section 3/19/09, pray that all will be well with mother &amp;amp; child.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Tyesha Jefferson, whose 3 month old son passed away. He was a “Footprints” baby in the NICU.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for employment opportunities to open soon for her father and brother.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Greg &amp;amp; Kelly Ellis: Pray for Kelly’s brother, Beau, and wife, Brittany, who went into early labor in Wash. D.C. - almost 30 wks. Pray for&lt;br /&gt;baby Gaines to stay in womb; for Beau as he commutes to D.C. , &amp;amp; their 17 month old at home. Pray for Kelly’s&lt;br /&gt;mom who is helping out as needed to care for one or more of them.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Kelly’s g-ma who fell and hit her head and is in Brookwood. Pray for her safety and health.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for wisdom and strength in their dealings with Kelly’s father struggling with financial problems &amp;amp; avoiding arrest.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for their relationship with Greg’s parents, for peace and how to best deal with them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Billy Fain: Pray for his sister and brother-in-law in Chatanooga, TN. His B-in-law is addicted to pain killers and the family is scared&lt;br /&gt;for the safety of Billy’s sister, Brenda, and the children. Pray for God’s intervention into getting him help.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kimberly Fain: Pray for Kimberly’s job opportunities as her job is being phased out - hopefully a new position at Helena Elementary.&lt;br /&gt;Daughter Allie’s friend, Madison, loves church. Pray her love for church with overflow to her parents &amp;amp; they might come.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for the family of a girl on her soccer team... the father was recently laid off from his job.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kim Gossett: Pray for the family of a co-teacher’s niece: the mother (niece) was killed and her 1-year-old son, Bailey is fine; her 3-year-old son, Harris, is in serious condition. Pray for them as they heal and adjust to life without their mother.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for two students at school were in a car wreck. One died, the other has brain injuries. Pray for Zwack family that lost their child and for Stewart family whose child is in ICU. Pray for students, teachers &amp;amp; friends grieving.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kristin Henderson: Pray for her father, Scott Marshall, battling cancer &amp;amp; has had 3 heart attacks and suffering with side effects of&lt;br /&gt;treatment. Pray for his strength, improved health, and positive outlook on life, &amp;amp; for encouragement for family.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for strength &amp;amp; healing for co-worker, Angie Ford, battling breast cancer; she is main care giver for her parents.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for her boss whose husband passed away suddenly. Her boss is also friends with Kristin’s mom, so this loss hits&lt;br /&gt;close to home for her as she helps Kristin’s dad deal with battling cancer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cindy Hipp: Pray for daughter Lauren to stay well and get stronger. She is doing better!&lt;br /&gt;Her grandmother, Dollie Hansford, passed away 4/6/09. Pray for peace &amp;amp; strength for their family.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for grandfather, Brinnon Mahan, whose condition is stable and he’s in a nursing home presently.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Matt Hodges: Pray for his brother Adam who is trying to break an addiction to oxycotton and is finally seeking help. Pray for his ability to do what it takes to rid these issues from his life and come closer to God in the process. Prayers need for Matt’s parents too.&lt;br /&gt;Increase prayers for friend Wesley, who was sober for 1 year but relapsed. Pray for freedom from addiction.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Michelle &amp;amp; Dustin Jowers: Pray that God would help them to conceive and have a child.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for safe and long pregnancy for Meredith and Sam Gambrell who are expecting triplets.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for strength for Dustin’s dad who has battled cancer since 2003 &amp;amp; is taking chemo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Will &amp;amp; Kelly Landess: Pray for Will’s step-brother, Alan , that he’ll receive a kidney soon &amp;amp; not have to go on dialysis.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for other step-brother, Mike, who may suffer from same disease as Alan, but refuses to be tested; pray for courage for him to get tested.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Brian &amp;amp; Emily McLendon: Pray for Clay, 5-year-old son of friends, Amy &amp;amp; Herb. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Pray for all.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Matt Morris: Pray for healing &amp;amp; peace for his mother’s father, Jack Early, whose cancer has spread to his ribs. May face chemo.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for his sister who is due to deliver her baby this week... that all will go well for mother and child.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for all those effected by the current economic situation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Shannon Moseley: Pray for her mother, recovering from shoulder surgery and surgery for a broken ankle last week!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Vallie Pate: Pray for high school friend going as a missionary into Cambodia to help rescue children enslaved in prostitution.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Aaron &amp;amp; Kelly Randall: Pray for peace and comfort for Aaron’s friend who lost a friend to suicide. Pray for peace and comfort for another friend whose 2-year old daughter passed away 1/2/09.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for friend, Ashley Green, whose husband died at age 32. she has a 1 year old child.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Aaron’s grandmother, 94, who has memory loss…for God’s peace &amp;amp; comfort for all of them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kelley Romonowski: Pray for Stephen &amp;amp; Caroline Strickland &amp;amp; 2 children. Stephen had massive stroke; pray for total recovery for him!&lt;br /&gt;Stephen is in a hospital 3 hours away from home, so it’s been difficult for his wife &amp;amp; children...pray for them.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for her grandmother who has Parkinsons and has taken a turn for the worse. Pray for God’s comfort and peace.&lt;br /&gt;Daughter Ann Scott’s classmate’s father passed away suddenly; pray for peace &amp;amp; comfort for their mother Greta &amp;amp; 3 children.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ashley Ross: Pray for her as she adjusts to going back to work. Pray baby Aubrey adjusts well too.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for her father who was laid off from his job, that he’ll find new employment soon &amp;amp; not get discouraged. His best friend&lt;br /&gt;just died suddenly from a heart attack. Pray for peace for all of them.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for her friend’s sister who is preg. with first child... child may have trisomy 18. Pray that doctors are wrong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Brad and Courtney Snuggs: Pray for the Sizemore Family’s 20-week ultrasound to see if their baby’s kidneys are enlarged; they lost their first baby to enlarged kidneys at 20 weeks.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Courtney who has to return to work soon and won’t be able to stay home with Shelby right now.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Kimberly Bingham who had a tumor removed last week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Randy Snuggs: Pray for Gracie Ann Poole, 1 yr old, who has been very sick but is improving now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Harris Wheeler: Pray for our son Paul las he goes through Boot Camp at Ft. Pray for Zwack family that lost     their child and for Stewart family whose child is in ICU. Pray for good recovery.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bob Blakeney: Pray for healing for his Uncle Reid who fell out of a deer stand.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sara Blakeney: Pray for Stephanie &amp;amp; Casey Alums, adopting little boy from Guatemala. Pray all finalizes soon.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for neighbors, Barry &amp;amp; Rebecca, who are adopting a 12 year old boy who is an Ukranian orphan. He’s came&lt;br /&gt;12/20/08 for a 3 week stay. Pray all goes well &amp;amp; adoption can be finalized soon.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for a friend Sam &amp;amp; her mother as they grieve for her father/husband, John Woodham.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for their family as they care for Grandmother who has dementia. Pray for encouragement and pain mgmt.; dr. visit in January&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Greg &amp;amp; Kelly Ellis: Pray all goes well with weaning Kathryn off her oxygen and that she’ll soon be free of all that equipment.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for peace, wisdom and strength in their dealings with Kelly’s father struggling with financial problems &amp;amp; avoiding arrest.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for their relationship with Greg’s parents, for peace and how to best deal with them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kimberly Fain: Pray for health and peace for Annie Cunningham, 34, single mom of an 8 &amp;amp; 5 year old, battling cancer for 4th time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kim Gossett: 2 students at school were in a car wreck. One died, the other has brain injuries. Pray for Zwack family that lost their&lt;br /&gt;child and for Stewart family whose child is in ICU. Pray for students, teachers &amp;amp; friends grieving.&lt;br /&gt;Kristin Henderson: Pray for her father, Scott Marshall, who is home from hospital, that he’ll regain strength &amp;amp; be able to resume chemo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pray for her mother as she’s exhausted caring for Kristin’s father, but also wants to help take care of new grandbaby.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cindy Hipp: Pray for daughter Lauren, battling viral illness. Praise that she is clear of C-diff now! Pray for continued healing.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for grandfather, Brinnon Mahan, whose condition is worsening and he may have to go back to the hospital.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for her grandmother, Dollie Hansford, who had to have other leg amputated 11/24/08; also,as she grieves for son Keith.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Matt Hodges: Increase prayers for friend Wesley, who was sober for 1 year but relapsed. Pray for freedom from addiction.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Michelle &amp;amp; Dustin Jowers: Pray that God would help them to conceive and have a child.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Dustin’s brother &amp;amp; wife who want to adopt a child... a little girl is due in to be born in Feb.; pray all goes well.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Dustin’s dad: battled cancer since 2003 &amp;amp; is taking chemo, &amp;amp; for God’s comfort as he grieves for his wife.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Brian &amp;amp; Emily McLendon: Pray for leg-strenthening program daughter Mary will start in January, that she’ll do well &amp;amp; handle it well.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for Amy &amp;amp; Herb, close friends, going through marriage issues. Praise they are moving in right direction.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Quentin Morgan: Praise his friend did not have cancer (tumor benign) &amp;amp; the friend’s wife’s cancer is in remission!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jerry Moseley: Please pray for him to know God’s leading as he seeks a new position. Pray for recent interviews with Regions.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for friend’s newborn baby, Sara, who has pneumonia and high blood pressure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Vallie Pate: Pray for friend’s father who has Stage 4 cancer; pray for healing for him and peace and strength for his family.&lt;br /&gt;Pray for high school friend going as a missionary into Cambodia to help rescue children enslaved in prostitution.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Aaron &amp;amp; Kelly Randall: Pray for peace and comfort for Aaron’s friend who lost a friend to suicide. His wife’s cancer is also responding well!&lt;br /&gt; Isabella Anne Ballard was baptized December 14th!  Proud parents are Chad &amp; Tiffany. &lt;br /&gt; Aubrey Ann Ross was born Dec. 5th to Ashley &amp; Matt Ross. It is called "Christmas Incarnation" by Dr. Ralph F. Wilson.  It will be a four-week study - although we will take off the week of November 23rd due to expected travel plans for Thanksgiving. The mission is actually through Shade's Mountain Baptist Church and is called Bronner's Blankets in honor of Bronner Burgess.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No sewing skills are required.  BYOB and a snack to share.  We will have some great "girl" time while helping out babies of the Birmingham area. Be ready for Chapter Seven next Sunday!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our new officers will take their positions affective September 1st.  They are as follows:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;President - Bob Blakeney&lt;br /&gt;Treasurer - Michelle Jowers&lt;br /&gt;Social - Sara Blakeney and Kelly Ellis&lt;br /&gt;Missions - Matt and Ginger Hodges&lt;br /&gt;Follow up - Melanie Barganier&lt;br /&gt;Sunshine - Shannon Dillard&lt;br /&gt;Blog Manager - Kimberly Fain&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sara and Kelly have put together an &lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;awesome&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt; social calendar for the upcoming year.  Some activities include wine tasting, a trip to the pumpkin patch, a ladies ornament swap, our infamous Christmas party, a men's golf outing and many other fun things.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our class is starting something called "Third Thursday".  This will be a family friendly dinner on the third Thursday of each month.  We will meet at 5:30 at a local restaurant.  For September, we will meet at Jason's Deli in Hoover.  We sure hope to see everyone there.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will try to post a calendar of events soon (as soon as I figure out how!).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please remember all of those people on our prayer list.  We have so many who need our prayers and could use a miracle in their lives.  We all have personally known what the power of prayer can do.
